Why this exists.
My name is Ryder Borden. I'm 21 years old, an electrical apprentice in Canada. I'm teaching myself how money actually works — the research, the books, the frameworks, the steps and skills — and I'm putting all of it here, free, because anyone with the drive deserves access to this education.
The honest version
I graduated high school and went straight into the trades. Real wages, real work, real future — but no formal education in business, finance, or investing. The kids I knew who went to university for business were dropping $80,000 on degrees to learn frameworks that are written in books at the library.
So I started reading. Hard. Buffett's annual letters. Munger's speeches. Ben Graham. Damodaran on YouTube. Trading in the Zone. Market Wizards. Naval, Hormozi, the operators who actually built things. I started buying ETFs in my TFSA through CIBC Investor's Edge. I bought into a pizza franchise. I started a few small businesses on the side.
Along the way I built this site — first just for myself, then I realized: there are probably millions of people in exactly my position. Smart, ambitious, didn't go to university, no rich uncle, no Wharton network, just wanting to figure out how money actually works. So I wrote it down. All of it. And I'm sharing it.
This isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. There's no promise here. Nobody can guarantee you become wealthy. What's here is the same education, the same books, the same frameworks, and the same playbook I'm using on myself right now — packaged so the next 17-year-old wondering "how does any of this actually work" has somewhere to start.

Why free
Three reasons:
- Selfish: writing this forces me to learn it properly. Teaching is the best way to internalize anything. Building this is my own MBA program.
- Honest: I'm 20. I haven't built generational wealth yet. I'm not qualified to charge people for advice. By the time I am, the act of giving this away will have built far more than any $497 course ever could.
- Strategic: the best brands of the next decade are personal and generous. Long-term, helping a million people is worth more than extracting from a thousand.
The guarantees
- No paywall, ever, on the core content
- No upsell course, mastermind, or coaching offer at the end of any module
- No tracking — your profile is saved locally on your device only. No accounts, no email collection (yet), no analytics that follow you
- Open about what I don't know — every module has a "what could go wrong / what I'm not sure about" section
The vision
One day I want this to be a real platform — full PWA, app store listings, real community, mentorship matches, accountability tracking, study groups. But that's the long game. Right now it's a personal playbook, written publicly, free for anyone who wants it.
If it helps you, share it with someone who'd find it useful. That's the only payment I'd ask for.
