Last updated: May 2026. The short version: we collect almost nothing about you, store everything on your device, and never share anything with anyone. The long version follows.
What this site is
This site is a static web application — a collection of HTML pages with educational content about personal finance, investing, business, and self-development. It runs entirely in your web browser. There is no backend server processing your data. There are no user accounts. There is no database.
What data we collect
The honest answer: almost nothing. Specifically:
- Your name (only if you choose to enter it in the "Sign in" prompt — it's saved only on your device in browser localStorage)
- Which modules you've visited (tracked in localStorage to show you "Continue where you left off" — never sent anywhere)
- Your pathfinder quiz answers (saved in localStorage to remember your recommended path)
- The date you first visited (for the "Day N" counter)
That's the entire list. All of this stays in your browser's localStorage on your device. None of it is sent to any server. None of it leaves your computer or phone. We do not have access to it. We cannot see it. We cannot recover it if you clear your browser data.
What data we don't collect
- Your email address (we have no way to collect it)
- Your IP address (beyond standard web server logs that the hosting provider may keep — typically deleted within 30 days)
- Your location
- Your phone number
- Payment info (the site is free and has no payment system)
- Browsing behavior tracking
- Analytics or telemetry of any kind
Cookies and tracking
This site uses no cookies for tracking. We use one browser storage mechanism (localStorage) to remember your profile — and only if you choose to set one up. This is functionally similar to a cookie but is stored only on your device, never transmitted with web requests, and only accessible to this specific site.
We use no third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no Mixpanel, nothing). We use no advertising networks. We use no remarketing pixels.
Third-party services we do use
- Netlify — our web hosting provider. Standard server logs may include IP addresses and request times; these are governed by Netlify's privacy policy
- Google Fonts — for the typefaces used on the site (Inter, Instrument Serif, JetBrains Mono). Loading these fonts notifies Google of the request; governed by Google's privacy policy. We do not pass any user data to Google
We use no other third-party services.
Your rights
Because we collect no data on any server, there's nothing for us to delete on our end. To clear your local profile and history at any time:
- Open the site, click the user button in the top-right corner, click "🗑 Reset everything"
- OR clear your browser's localStorage for this site through your browser settings
- OR uninstall the PWA (if you installed it as an app)
Any of these actions removes 100% of your data permanently.
GDPR (EU users)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Because all your data is stored locally on your device and we have no server access to it, you can exercise all of these rights yourself directly through your browser — there is no third party to request from.
CCPA (California users)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have similar rights. The same applies — your data is on your device only. We don't sell, share, or have access to your personal information.
Children
This site is intended for users 18 years of age or older. Content covers personal finance, investing, business, sales, and other topics that require adult financial decision-making capacity. Users under 18 should not use this site. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. We recommend checking back periodically. Continued use of the site after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
